Who we are

Cook Warriors is operated by VORVN Limited, Flat/RM 11, Block C, 13/F, Wong King Industrial Building, 192–198 Choi Hung Road, San Po Kong, Wong Tai Sin District, Kowloon, Hong Kong. VORVN Limited is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Contact hi@cookwarriors.com for privacy questions or requests.

This notice covers our Cook Warriors storefront, checkout and order communications. It explains our own processing; websites you reach through external links have their own privacy notices.

Information we use

We use the contact and delivery details you provide, including your name, email, postal address and telephone number; your basket, selected variants, quantities, delivery choices and order history; payment status and transaction references; and messages you send to our support team. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider through its payment interface. Do not send card numbers or passwords to customer support.

We also process technical information needed to operate and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and request information. Your approximate country may be used to suggest a shipping destination; you can change it. We retain campaign information contained in links, such as source, medium and campaign identifiers, to understand which communications lead to visits and orders.

Checkout and saved baskets

As you complete checkout, valid contact details and basket information can be saved before you place an order. This allows us to preserve your progress, calculate delivery and help you resume an unfinished checkout. An incomplete checkout is not a completed purchase.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may send reminders containing a link to resume your saved basket. You can use the unsubscribe link in a reminder or contact us to stop these reminders. We keep necessary order and service messages separate from promotional communications.

Why we process information

We use information to provide the storefront, calculate prices and delivery, process orders and payments, arrange production and shipment, provide receipts and tracking, handle support, returns and refunds, prevent fraud and maintain accounting records.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, order processing relies on performing a contract or taking steps you request before a purchase. Accounting and legally required records rely on legal obligations. Security, service troubleshooting and proportionate business administration rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Where consent is required for optional communications or tracking, that processing requires consent, which you may withdraw.

Providing the information marked as required at checkout is necessary to process that delivery or order. An address or phone number may be required by a particular carrier or fulfillment provider. Optional choices do not change your statutory consumer rights.

Services involved in your order

We use service providers to operate the store and fulfill purchases. These include Medusa for commerce and notifications; infrastructure and content providers supporting our Strapi-based website, including Cloudflare; Stripe for payment processing; and Google Places for address suggestions when you use address search. Address searches are sent to Google to retrieve matching addresses; you can enter your address manually.

Depending on the products ordered, fulfillment information is shared with the relevant printing or logistics partner, including Gelato for applicable printed products, Lulu for applicable books, and shipping carriers. They receive information necessary to prepare and deliver the relevant items, rather than an instruction to fulfill unrelated items.

If WhatsApp updates are selected, Meta's WhatsApp service processes the phone number and message information needed to deliver those updates. Operational alerts may also be sent to our authorized staff through Telegram. These communication services apply their own privacy terms to their services. We do not promise that an automated notification channel is a monitored support inbox; email us for support.

We may disclose information when legally required, to protect legitimate rights, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable protections. We do not publish your delivery address or contact details on product pages.

Cookies and browser storage

The storefront uses cookies and browser storage for shopping sessions, saved baskets, checkout progress, destination preferences and site presentation. Campaign attribution may be retained in a first-party cookie for up to 30 days. Browser settings allow you to clear or restrict storage; doing so may remove your basket or saved checkout progress.

Optional tracking remains subject to the consent requirements that apply to your location. This notice does not itself constitute consent to optional tracking. We will describe changes to tracking tools and choices when those tools are introduced.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed for its stated purpose, including order fulfillment, support, legal accounting obligations and the resolution of disputes. Different records have different retention needs; an unsubscribe request does not require deletion of records we must retain by law. You may ask us about the information held for your account or order and request deletion where permitted.

We use access controls and other technical and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep order-recovery links and account credentials private because they can provide access to your checkout or order information.

International processing

VORVN Limited is based in Hong Kong and our service providers operate internationally. Information may be processed outside your country. Applicable laws may require safeguards for international transfers. Contact us to request information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your data.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority, including Hong Kong's Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data or the authority in your country.

Send requests to hi@cookwarriors.com. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal time limit. Do not send unnecessary identity documents in your first message.

Our store is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate.

Updates

We update this notice when our practices change and show the revision date above. We provide additional notice where required by law.
